a day of books ‘n brew

Last week, we attended Y’all West at Santa Monica High School. Our first stop was to get our copies of Love, Hate & Other Filters signed by the author, Samira Ahmed.

Our last stop was to one of our favorite places on the planet, Firestone Walker Brewing Company.

We checked out the latest brews and Michelle went with a Hazy IPA – Judas Yeast – Conan Yeast and Angela decided on tasters of the Sucaba and Parabola. All were delicious and good to the last drop. Not pictured, but not to be neglected were the oh so tasty, chicken drumettes, buffalo style! Yum!

And no trip to the Firestone Walker Brewing Company would be complete without some good ol’ 805. Every time with 805, is like meeting up with a tried and true, reliable friend.

It was the best way to spend a Saturday – The weather was sunny, we got to hang out in beautiful Santa Monica with other book nerds, and we finished the day by sharing a refreshing brew. What more could you ask for?

In parting, we’re going to leave you with the wise words of those at the Firestone Walker Brewing Company about keeping our priorities straight:

Cheers!

Your partners in possibility,

Michelle and Angela
